WELCOME! Los Alamos Piecemakers Quilt Guild is a non-profit organization established in 1985 to encourage the art of quilting through the exchange of ideas, lectures and demonstrations, and seminars and workshops presented by nationally acclaimed quilters.

MEETINGS are generally held the fourth Tuesday of each month (no meetings in July or December). They are usually held at 7 pm, alternating between The United Church of Los Alamos and White Rock Presbyterian. Some meetings are held at noon. A typical meeting consists of a business meeting followed by a lecture, workshop or demonstration. Show and Tell is always encouraged! The schedule of meetings is posted on the website.

QUILT SHOW - The Guild holds a two-day Quilt Show every other year in the fall. The show features quilts and quilt-related items made by members of the Guild. Several local and regional vendors also participate.

QUILT MARKET - On alternate years the Guild sponsors a one-day Quilt Market. The market is a venue for members to sell quilts or quilt-related items. The Guild receives a percentage from sold items.

DONATION QUILT - Each year the Guild makes a fundraising quilt. Tickets are sold throughout the summer for a chance to win the quilt. The drawing is held at the Quilt Show or Quilt Market. Proceeds fund our community service projects and underwrite our speakers and programs.

LIBRARY - The Guild had a great library of quilting books. The library books were sold off in 2022 due to the lack of use and the amount of energy required to bring them to meetings.

COMMUNITY SERVICE - Los Alamos Piecemakers work together and individually to make quilts which are donated to local and national organizations such as Ronald McDonald House, Carrie Tingley Children's Hospital in Albuquerque, Cerro Grande fire victims, and others. The Guild hosts an annual Valentine's Luncheon with the Senior Quilters, and holds a social afternoon with refreshments and Show & Tell in December for the Aspen Ridge Retirement Community.

NEWSLETTER - Our monthly newsletter is sent by email (or regular mail, if you prefer). Submissions for the newsletter are due around the 10th of each month.
