Row by Row Experience
June 21 - September 6, 2016
Many quilt shops from NM and surrounding areas are participating in the row by row experience,
including Atomic City Quilts. Check the website to see who. In your travels, be sure to pick up
a kit from participating quilt shops. Maybe at a future meeting, we can have show and tell of
quilts made from our travels.

Jemez Mountains Bear Paw Quilt Guild
July 22, 23, 24, 2016
Fri & Sat 9 am - 5 pm , Sun 10 am - 4 pm
Walatowa Visitor Center, Jemez Pueblo, 7413 Hwy 4 Free Admission
Come see a dazzling display of quilts including the Patriotic Fallen Warrior Quilts given to New
Mexico Families that have lost a Soldier in the Middle East. A selection of quilts and hand-made
items will also be available for sale (cash only).
Several LAP members are also member of the Jemez Mountains Bear Paw Quilt Guild and will
have quilts on display.
Los Alamos County Fair
August 13th
On Saturday, Aug 13 there will be a Parade and an Arts Fair. We'll have a Float in the Parade and need
volunteers to walk along with quilts. Please see Mickie Taylor to sign up. We?ll also have a ticket sale at the
Arts Fair and need volunteers to sell tickets for the Donation Quilt. Please sign up at the June Meeting.

The second annual Christmas Tea at Aspen Ridge is scheduled for December 11th at 3pm, so be working on those mug rugs. More details later.

RSVP Senior Quilters Valentine's Luncheon
Please join us for the annual RSVP Senior Quilters Valentine's Luncheon
on Wednesday February 13, 2013, 11AM - 1PM.
Aspen Ridge Assisted Living Show and Tell & Tea
The Los Alamos Piecemakers are preparing for a visit to Aspen Ridge Lodge for a
"Show and Tell" program and to deliver mug rugs to the residents on November 28 at
2:00 P M. We continue to need mug rugs for this event with or without holiday themes.
There will be a signup sheet at the October 23rd meeting for preparing holiday
refreshments and a separate sign-up sheet for guild members to "Show and Tell" some
of their work to the residents. You may wish to bring a mug rug for the Aspen Ridge
event to our Oct. meeting. If you are unable to attend the LAP meeting in Oct. but
would like to join us in November please call Deb McLin 672-9811.
RSVP Senior Quilters Valentine's Luncheon
Please join us for the annual RSVP Senior Quilters Valentine's Luncheon
on February 8, 2012, 11AM - 1PM. We will enjoy lunch, show and tell
and the company of friends and fun quilters!. We will have a sign-up sheet
for soup, salad, breads and dessert at the Guild Meeting on January 24th in White Rock.

Valentine's Party for Senior Quilters
A successful Valentine Party for the Senior
Quilters was held February 16th at the Betty Ehart Senior Center. After
the luncheon, both quilt groups shared quilts they had made and shared
ideas. Thanks to those who brought dishes to share: Evonne Holder,
Brooke Davis, Nancy Lemons, Micki Taylor, Thelma Hahn, Marilyn Caytor,
Fran Suchocki, and Trish Spillman. Here are photos of some of the
quilts shown at the luncheon:

We will eat at 11:00am and then have "Show and Tell".
